The Finca La Emperatriz Tinto Viñedo Singular 2019 is a Rioja with great depth and, at the same time, remarkable elegance. The grapes come from the oldest vines on the historic estate – a wine for anyone who enjoys a Rioja with character and staying power in the glass.

The blend comprises 71% Tempranillo, 25% Garnacha and 4% Viura. Following hand-picking and careful selection, the grapes are completely destemmed and partially crushed. Fermentation and maceration take place in concrete tanks, after which the wine is aged for 18 months in French and American oak.

On the nose, there are notes of dark berries and red fruits, complemented by cocoa and spicy nuances. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied and clearly structured, with polished tannins and great depth.

A classic Rioja of exceptional finesse, which is already a delight to drink whilst also offering great ageing potential. Perfect with braised beef, lamb or hearty mushroom dishes.
