Jean Faux’s wines are all defined by their elegance and—one might almost say—suppleness. Whether this is the result of biodynamic cultivation is for each to decide, but it is clear that this respectful approach to nature and the vines plays a major role in shaping their distinctive style.

In the glass, the Merlot and Cabernet Franc cuvée reveals intense aromas of cherries and plums, complemented by subtle floral notes and a delicate hint of spice. On the palate, the wine is fresh and balanced, with precise, harmoniously integrated tannins. It beautifully marries power and finesse.

The vines, averaging 25 years of age, grow on clay and limestone soils. Following careful hand-picking, the wine matures for 12 to 14 months in French barriques, only a few of which are new, allowing the oak to remain discreet and enhancing the wine’s elegance.

A Bordeaux full of character, it pairs perfectly with fillet of beef, braised lamb, or aromatic mushroom dishes. A serving of mature cheese is also a wonderful accompaniment. Ready to enjoy now, it also has the potential to mature gracefully over the years.
