Description
This sparkling wine proves that Markus Huber is not only capable of crafting stylish still wines but can also produce a high-quality sparkling wine from Grüner Veltliner.
The Blanc de Blanc belongs to the reserve category, having been matured on the lees in the bottle for 30 months. Made entirely from 100% organic Grüner Veltliner grapes from the renowned “Berg” vineyard, the fruit is deliberately harvested early and gently vinified.
In the glass, it shows a bright golden-yellow colour with delicate silver reflections. The fine, persistent perlage is lively and elegant.
On the nose, it is fresh and refined, with aromas of apple and pear, complemented by hints of peach and light citrus. The palate is lively, with well-integrated acidity and a fresh, dry character (Brut, 7.5g residual sugar) supported by subtle herbal, spicy, and mineral notes. The finish is clear, long, and energetic.
