Many people know Bodegas Peñafiel primarily for its Ribera del Duero wines. It is therefore especially pleasing that the winery also shows real skill with white wine. This Verdejo is juicy and approachable, yet far from ordinary. It combines fruit, freshness and a subtle herbal spice, with noticeably more structure on the palate than many straightforward Rueda wines.

On the nose, there are notes of citrus, yellow apple, a touch of pear, delicate floral aromas and a hint of herbs. On the palate, the wine is fresh, juicy and crisp, supported by a gentle spiciness and a lively finish. It remains light in feel, while offering enough body to pair well with food.
