a perfect match. The <xhtml:strong>Goldblatt GV 2025</xhtml:strong> is a new
exclusive bottling from the renowned Hagn winery in Mailberg, a
white wine that is almost always a good choice and a true
pleasure.</xhtml:p>
<xhtml:p>The grapes come from various vineyards with loess soils around
the village of Mailberg. Traditionally matured in stainless steel
tanks, it is not overly full-bodied, with an alcohol content of
just 12.0% by volume and a particularly well-balanced interplay of
fruit, spice and acidity. The colour is a clear, bright gold. On
the nose, it offers aromas of ripe apples, exotic fruits and a
subtle hint of herbs. On the palate, it is juicy and harmonious,
with pronounced fruit notes of light stone fruit and white pepper.
A delicate fruit sweetness is balanced by a pleasant acidity that
brings freshness and vibrancy. Lively, yet unmistakably Veltliner.
The finish is medium in length, with spice and refreshing citrus
notes.</xhtml:p>
<xhtml:p>A true all-rounder. Ideal for a relaxed gathering, as an
accompaniment to home-cooked meals or simply on its own. The
Goldblatt is always a reliable choice.</xhtml:p>

uncomplicated, yet with plenty of character on the palate.
Instantly brings to mind that holiday feeling, like being at Lake

Perfect with fish, pasta, antipasti or simply on its own.</xhtml:p>
<xhtml:p>The Soledini Lugana 2025 offers exactly what you would expect
from a very good Lugana: freshness, juiciness, easy drinkability
and that unmistakable sense of a holiday at Lake Garda.</xhtml:p>
<xhtml:p>On the nose, it is immediately inviting, with delicate yellow
fruits, a touch of citrus, a hint of herbal spice and a typical,
lightly Mediterranean freshness. On the palate, the Lugana is
lively and juicy without feeling light. Instead, it shows real
depth, a pleasing body and a finish that encourages another
sip.</xhtml:p>
<xhtml:p>The 2025 vintage is particularly fresh and crisp, while
remaining charming and approachable. This balance is what makes it
so appealing: straightforward enough for everyday enjoyment, yet
with enough character to shine alongside food.</xhtml:p>
<xhtml:p>Whether paired with grilled fish, pasta with vegetables,
antipasti, risotto or simply enjoyed well chilled on the terrace,
this Lugana captures the taste of sunshine, the lake and a short
escape in a glass.</xhtml:p>

<xhtml:div xmlns:xhtml="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml"><xhtml:p>Lirac is often overshadowed by its well-known neighbour,
Châteauneuf-du-Pape. However, anyone who tastes this wine may
question why. It is a wonderfully authentic Rhône red with plenty
of charm and notably good value for money.</xhtml:p>
<xhtml:p>This vintage is generous and driven by fruit. Ripe red and dark
berries dominate the bouquet, complemented by delicate
Mediterranean herbs and a subtle touch of spice. On the palate, the
wine is pleasantly full-bodied without becoming heavy. Silky
tannins provide a harmonious structure and make each sip highly
approachable.</xhtml:p>
<xhtml:p>The vineyards of Château Saint Roch lie on the slopes to the
west of the Roquemaure fault. Sheltered by the hills of
Saint-Géniès and influenced by the nearby River Rhône, the grapes
retain both ripeness and freshness. After vinification, the wine is
aged for twelve months in tanks and wooden barrels.</xhtml:p>
<xhtml:p>This Lirac pairs particularly well with stuffed tomatoes with
lamb, braised poultry, or hearty Mediterranean dishes. It is
already a pleasure to drink now and will continue to develop
beautifully in the bottle over the next five to six years.</xhtml:p>

<xhtml:strong>Singerriedel</xhtml:strong>. For decades, this renowned vineyard
in Spitz an der Donau has produced <xhtml:strong>Rieslings</xhtml:strong> that
rank among the very best in the world. The current 2024 vintage has
been awarded <xhtml:strong>100 Falstaff</xhtml:strong> points and <xhtml:strong>100
James Suckling</xhtml:strong> points. It does not get any better than
that.</xhtml:p>
<xhtml:p>Even at first glance, it is clear that this is no ordinary
Riesling. On the nose, it reveals ripe apricot, juicy vineyard
peach, delicate citrus notes and a hint of exotic fruit. Beneath
this, a striking minerality emerges, lending the wine tension and
elegance.</xhtml:p>
<xhtml:p>On the palate, this ‘Smaragd’ is both powerful and refined. The
fruit is concentrated, yet remains crystal clear and precise.
Perfectly integrated acidity brings freshness and drive, while the
mineral notes linger through the impressively long finish. With a
little aeration, the Riesling gains further depth and gradually
reveals new layers.</xhtml:p>
<xhtml:p>The steep terraces of the Singerriedel vineyard are among the
most renowned in Europe. The combination of primary rock soils, the
Danube climate and significant temperature differences between day
and night creates ideal conditions for Rieslings of exceptional
quality.</xhtml:p>
<xhtml:p>It has remarkable ageing potential and will continue to develop
over many years. A truly great Wachau Riesling, elegant, complex
and wonderfully enjoyable to drink.</xhtml:p>

ceramic vats, it retains its coolness and elegance whilst
delighting with exotic notes.</xhtml:p>
<xhtml:p>Unfiltered yet very clear, with a shimmering green-gold colour.
On the nose, light peaches, gooseberries and floral notes. On the

meadow herbs.</xhtml:p>
<xhtml:p>It’s already a delight in its youth but certainly has the

<xhtml:div xmlns:xhtml="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml"><xhtml:p>Some wines are even more impressive when served from a
<xhtml:strong>magnum bottle</xhtml:strong>. <xhtml:strong>Amarone</xhtml:strong> in
particular benefits from this format, as its aromas develop with
remarkable harmony and the wine often appears more elegant, with
greater ageing potential.</xhtml:p>
<xhtml:p>This Amarone comes from the historic Classico region around
Verona, the birthplace of this renowned wine. For years, La
Giaretta has been among the producers that consistently impress
with excellent value for money. The 2022 vintage once again shows
why these wines enjoy such a strong following.</xhtml:p>
<xhtml:p>In the glass, the wine displays a deep ruby red colour with an
almost black core. The bouquet is intense and layered. Ripe
cherries, dark wild berries and the dried fruit notes typical of
Amarone take centre stage. Subtle hints of coffee, tobacco and
balsamic herbs add further depth.</xhtml:p>
<xhtml:p>On the palate, this classic is powerful and concentrated, yet
well balanced. The rich fruit is supported by lively acidity,
ensuring the wine never feels heavy despite its density. Notes of
dried fruit, dark berries, coffee and spiced tobacco carry through
to a long, harmonious finish.</xhtml:p>
<xhtml:p>The magnum is well suited to festive occasions, social
gatherings or as a gift for Amarone enthusiasts. It pairs
beautifully with braised beef, game dishes or hearty steaks. For a
more authentic taste of Veneto, serve it with a classic Amarone
risotto. A wine of impressive character, particularly in magnum
format.</xhtml:p>

<xhtml:div xmlns:xhtml="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml"><xhtml:p>Lirac is often considered an insider tip in the southern Rhône.
A taste of this ‘Confidentielle’ cuvée quickly shows why. The wine
offers remarkable character, depth and elegance. At this level of
quality, even its neighbours from Châteauneuf-du-Pape face strong
competition.</xhtml:p>
<xhtml:p>The nose opens with juicy aromas of raspberries and
strawberries, complemented by a subtle hint of liquorice that adds
further complexity. On the palate, the wine is concentrated and
powerful, yet remains smooth and well-balanced. Velvety tannins
combine with the juicy fruit to create a harmonious overall
impression.</xhtml:p>
<xhtml:p>This cuvée is made from equal parts Grenache, Syrah and
Mourvèdre. The grapes are sourced from the diverse soils around
Lirac, including the well-known galets roulés, as well as limestone
and sandy soils. After careful hand harvesting, the wine is aged
for twelve months in lightly toasted French oak barrels, adding
complexity without overshadowing the fruit.</xhtml:p>
<xhtml:p>This Rhône red pairs particularly well with braised beef, hearty
stews or a classic daube provençale. It is enjoyable to drink now
and also has the potential to mature in the bottle for a further
seven to eight years.</xhtml:p>

<xhtml:div xmlns:xhtml="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml"><xhtml:p>The southern Rhône is renowned for its red wines. When a
long-established estate such as Château de la Gardine applies its
expertise, the result is a wine that impresses from the very first
sip.</xhtml:p>
<xhtml:p>In the glass, this Villages red shows a deep ruby colour. On the
nose, ripe cherries, blackberries and plums are complemented by
subtle notes of Provençal herbs, a hint of pepper and a touch of
liquorice. On the palate, it is pleasantly juicy, with generous
fruit, gentle spice and supple tannins. This balance makes it both
versatile and highly enjoyable to drink.</xhtml:p>
<xhtml:p>The grapes come from selected village vineyards in the southern
Rhône, known for producing wines of character and concentration.
The classic blend of Grenache and Syrah provides fruit, structure
and the region’s distinctive style.</xhtml:p>
<xhtml:p>An excellent match for grilled meat, lamb chops or hearty stews.
It is equally enjoyable on its own during a relaxed evening with
friends.</xhtml:p>

<xhtml:div xmlns:xhtml="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml"><xhtml:p>Ripasso is one of the most exciting specialities of the Veneto
region. The principle behind it is simple yet ingenious: young
Valpolicella undergoes a second fermentation on Amarone pomace.
This gives the wine greater colour, structure and character, while
preserving the lightness of a classic red.</xhtml:p>
<xhtml:p>This is exactly what makes La Giaretta's wine so popular year
after year. The 2022 vintage shows a brilliant ruby red colour and,
on the nose, already delivers everything one could wish for in a
successful Ripasso. Dark cherries, ripe wild berries and a hint of
raisins combine with subtle notes of herbs, coffee and a touch of
tobacco.</xhtml:p>
<xhtml:p>On the palate, this Ripasso is juicy and well-balanced. Dark
fruit takes centre stage, supported by gentle spice and a lively
acidity that carries the wine and makes it very easy to enjoy. The
typical Amarone notes are present, yet remain elegantly integrated,
adding further depth.</xhtml:p>
<xhtml:p>For anyone wishing to discover the region's famous red wines,
this is an ideal starting point. Ripasso is a familiar presence in
the region’s osterias. It offers the characteristic aromas of
Amarone while remaining more approachable and less complex.</xhtml:p>
<xhtml:p>This classic pairs particularly well with grilled steaks,
braised beef or a hearty pasta dish with ragù. A wine that offers
excellent value for money.</xhtml:p>
