Instantly brings to mind that holiday feeling, like being at Lake

Perfect with fish, pasta, antipasti or simply on its own.</xhtml:p>
<xhtml:p>The Soledini Lugana 2025 offers exactly what you would expect
from a very good Lugana: freshness, juiciness, easy drinkability
and that unmistakable sense of a holiday at Lake Garda.</xhtml:p>
<xhtml:p>On the nose, it is immediately inviting, with delicate yellow
fruits, a touch of citrus, a hint of herbal spice and a typical,
lightly Mediterranean freshness. On the palate, the Lugana is
lively and juicy without feeling light. Instead, it shows real
depth, a pleasing body and a finish that encourages another
sip.</xhtml:p>
<xhtml:p>The 2025 vintage is particularly fresh and crisp, while
remaining charming and approachable. This balance is what makes it
so appealing: straightforward enough for everyday enjoyment, yet
with enough character to shine alongside food.</xhtml:p>
<xhtml:p>Whether paired with grilled fish, pasta with vegetables,
antipasti, risotto or simply enjoyed well chilled on the terrace,
this Lugana captures the taste of sunshine, the lake and a short

red berries, led by an appealing strawberry scent, make it hard to

°C. This helps preserve the typical grape aromas, which are clearly
reflected in the wine. It offers a fine, elegant effervescence,
with notes of grapes and red berries, complemented by a fresh and
well-balanced acidity. A refined, high-quality Prosecco, ideal for
warmer weather and perfect for enjoying on the terrace.</xhtml:p>

glasses free of charge.</xhtml:p>
<xhtml:p>The nose immediately reveals plenty of exotic fruit. Ripe
pineapple and mango meet juicy pear, lemongrass and fresh herbal
notes. On the palate, the champagne is round, fruit-forward and

cold serving temperature and the ice, it nevertheless remains
wonderfully refreshing and uncomplicated.</xhtml:p>
<xhtml:p>The cuvée is based on 50 per cent Pinot Noir, 30 per cent
Meunier and 20 per cent Chardonnay, complemented by a high
proportion of reserve wines to achieve the house’s signature style.

each with a 56 cl capacity, are just right: fill the glass halfway,
add a large ice cube – and you’re done. Alternatively, you can of

This vintage demonstrates its class in a wonderfully understated
and elegant way – and that is precisely what makes it so
special.</xhtml:p>
<xhtml:p>In the glass, it glows a pale golden-yellow with fresh green
highlights. On the nose, you’ll find notes of toasted bread,
hazelnut and grain, before softer notes of marzipan, gingerbread
and ripe yellow fruits emerge. On the palate, the champagne is
initially round and supple, but then develops increasing
complexity. In the long finish, clementine and pomelo provide a
delicate, juicy freshness.</xhtml:p>
<xhtml:p>The 2016 vintage presented the Champagne region with major
challenges due to heavy rainfall and an unusually dry summer. After
at least six years of ageing, this resulted in the 77th vintage
Champagne in the history of Moët & Chandon. Chardonnay forms
the heart of the cuvée, complemented by Pinot Noir and Meunier.</xhtml:p>
<xhtml:p>It pairs particularly well with pan-fried or gently cooked fish,
veal, scallops or dishes featuring fennel and citrus fruits. Thanks
to its elegant gift box, it also makes a truly lovely present for

cool, slightly bluish highlights. On the nose, strawberries, ripe

fruity, unpretentious and made precisely for those moments when you

<xhtml:p>The nose is dominated by ripe strawberries, raspberries and
redcurrants. Exotic fruits and a cool hint of peppermint ensure
that the champagne remains fresh despite its juicy and slightly

<xhtml:p>The cuvée is made from Pinot Noir, Meunier and Chardonnay, and

Martin’s top-of-the-range wine in our range – but the Cuvée
Comtesse is a step above that. This is the estate’s true prestige
cuvée, made from grapes yielding a mere 25 hectolitres per hectare.
Its appearance and quality are immediately reminiscent of the great
rosés from renowned estates in Provence.</xhtml:p>
<xhtml:p>A cuvée made from Tibouren, Cinsault and Grenache, grown on
loamy-sandy soils. Following a short maceration period of just
three to four hours and pressing, the wine is aged for twelve
months – half in buried tanks, half in oak barrels and, unusually,
also in white mulberry wood barrels. This lends it its distinctive
density and complexity.</xhtml:p>
<xhtml:p>The nose is wonderfully multi-layered: acacia honey, dried
apricot and candied melon, accompanied by a delicate, almost woody
note with intense jasmine and a second, subtle hint of peony.</xhtml:p>
<xhtml:p>On the palate, it displays wonderful tension, plenty of body and
smoothness. Ripe summer fruits and compote-like flavours meet a
lovely vanilla note from the oak ageing, with an impressively long
finish featuring lime blossom.</xhtml:p>
<xhtml:p>A rosé with real character, which also makes a compelling
accompaniment to food – such as turkey with chestnuts, truffle
risotto, braised shoulder of lamb or poultry in a morel cream
sauce. Served at 8–10 °C, this cuvée is at its very best.</xhtml:p>

<xhtml:p>Bodegas Peñafiel is currently experiencing a steady rise within
Ribera del Duero. That may sound like a bold statement, but it

expressive wines with power, a strong sense of terroir and genuine

enjoying growing popularity. No wonder, as you can still get
excellent value for money here at the moment. A perfect example of
this is this Muralia IGT Rosso, named after the winery itself and,
for the price, almost too good to be true: the estate’s top
wine.</xhtml:p>
<xhtml:p>For us, Muralia is above all synonymous with unusually elegant
wines, the sort you wouldn’t necessarily expect from this warm
region. Nevertheless, the wine is certainly brimming with power and
already appears deep red and dark in the glass. On the nose,
typical red berries, a hint of herbal spice and plenty of
blackcurrant, along with a touch of tobacco and leather. The oak
from the long ageing in barriques is beautifully integrated – not
too dominant, but enough to lend additional aroma.</xhtml:p>
<xhtml:p>On the palate, it is very juicy and full-bodied, with ripe
tannins that feel round and elegant. A lovely, robust acidity gives
the wine the necessary freshness, makes your mouth water and
literally begs for the next sip.</xhtml:p>
<xhtml:p>An exciting wine from Tuscany, of exceptionally high quality,
which effortlessly accompanies any Bistecca Fiorentina and remains

and opulent, yet notably precise, a combination that defines great
Rhône wines.</xhtml:p>
<xhtml:p>The cuvée is composed of 60% Grenache, 20% Syrah, 15% Mourvèdre
and 5% Muscardin. The grapes are harvested by hand and sourced from
several top vineyards within the appellation. Rolled pebbles
contribute power and structure, limestone adds freshness and
minerality, and sandy soils bring finesse and elegance. After
vinification, the wine matures for nine to fourteen months in tanks
and wooden barrels.</xhtml:p>
<xhtml:p>A fine accompaniment to braised beef, game birds, strong cheeses
or festive meals. Enjoyable now, this Rhône classic will reach its
full potential over the next 15 to 20 years.</xhtml:p>

<xhtml:div xmlns:xhtml="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml"><xhtml:p>Lirac is often considered an insider tip in the southern Rhône.
A taste of this ‘Confidentielle’ cuvée quickly shows why. The wine
offers remarkable character, depth and elegance. At this level of
quality, even its neighbours from Châteauneuf-du-Pape face strong
competition.</xhtml:p>
<xhtml:p>The nose opens with juicy aromas of raspberries and
strawberries, complemented by a subtle hint of liquorice that adds
further complexity. On the palate, the wine is concentrated and
powerful, yet remains smooth and well-balanced. Velvety tannins
combine with the juicy fruit to create a harmonious overall
impression.</xhtml:p>
<xhtml:p>This cuvée is made from equal parts Grenache, Syrah and
Mourvèdre. The grapes are sourced from the diverse soils around
Lirac, including the well-known galets roulés, as well as limestone
and sandy soils. After careful hand harvesting, the wine is aged
for twelve months in lightly toasted French oak barrels, adding
complexity without overshadowing the fruit.</xhtml:p>
<xhtml:p>This Rhône red pairs particularly well with braised beef, hearty
stews or a classic daube provençale. It is enjoyable to drink now
and also has the potential to mature in the bottle for a further
seven to eight years.</xhtml:p>

power, oak and intensity. This Reserva, however, shows beautifully
that grandeur does not have to come with heaviness. It is a deep,
mature and well-balanced red wine that clearly demonstrates why the
region is so popular among lovers of full-bodied Spanish wines.</xhtml:p>
<xhtml:p>Bodegas Peñafiel has seen an impressive rise in recent years. In
our view, the winery no longer needs to stand in the shadow of the
region’s well-known names. On the contrary, it has become one of
the most exciting producers in Ribera del Duero.</xhtml:p>
<xhtml:p>In the glass, the wine reveals a dark cherry red colour with
ripe highlights. The nose offers black cherries, plums, a touch of
blackberry, gentle toasted notes and a pleasant spiciness. On the
palate, it is dense, juicy and powerful, while remaining smooth and
elegant. The oak is present but well integrated, adding structure,
depth and a refined spicy character.</xhtml:p>

rosés from this region are exactly what you would expect from a
high-quality summer wine: light in colour, fragrant on the nose,
fresh on the palate and so easy to drink that the bottle is often
empty sooner than planned.</xhtml:p>
<xhtml:p>However, Rosé N°2 is much more than a simple introduction to
Provence. It is a sophisticated, beautifully balanced rosé from an
outstanding winery that immediately invites another sip. On the
nose, it reveals ripe peach, accompanied by delicate rose petals,
subtle berry notes and a hint of citrus. On the palate, the wine is
juicy, fresh and surprisingly full-bodied, without ever feeling
heavy.</xhtml:p>
<xhtml:p>It is this balance that makes it so appealing. The wine is

the first sip. Not because it is complicated, but because it offers
so much: dark fruit, subtle spice, a juicy body and that
unmistakable Spanish warmth that immediately awakens the appetite

<xhtml:p>On the nose, it is intense, with aromas of ripe cherries,
blackberries and plums, complemented by a touch of vanilla, cocoa

lively. The 20 months of ageing add depth and structure without
overshadowing the fruit. This balance is what makes it so
appealing: robust enough for Ribera enthusiasts, yet harmonious
enough to remain elegant and easy to enjoy.</xhtml:p>
<xhtml:p>Vendimia Seleccionada is an excellent partner for food,
particularly richer dishes. It pairs beautifully with grilled beef,

category. The term ‘Roble’ means ‘oak’ and refers to wines that
have been aged in wooden barrels for a period, though not as long
as Crianza or Reserva. This results in added spice, roundness and
depth, while the wine remains fruit-driven and easy to drink.</xhtml:p>
<xhtml:p>Baron de Filar strikes exactly the right balance: juicy, spicy,
fruit-driven and highly approachable. In the glass, it shows a deep
cherry red colour. The nose reveals ripe cherries, blackberries,
plums and a gentle spiciness. A subtle hint of oak adds depth
without making the wine feel heavy.</xhtml:p>
<xhtml:p>On the palate, it is round, smooth and very easy to enjoy, with
enough body for the region and enough freshness to invite another

groups.</xhtml:p>
<xhtml:p>It pairs beautifully with tapas, grilled meat, pasta with a

give this white wine a try. Here, the region reveals a fresh and
distinctly charming side.</xhtml:p>
<xhtml:p>Aromas of pear, peach and citrus fruit are evident on the nose,
complemented by floral notes and a hint of Mediterranean herbs. On
the palate, the wine is lively, juicy and well-balanced. The fruit
takes centre stage, supported by subtle spice and a refreshing
lift. This is a Rhône wine that is simply a pleasure to drink.</xhtml:p>
<xhtml:p>The Brunel family has been producing authentic Rhône wines with
a strong sense of terroir for generations. Here, too, harmony is
key: approachable enough for everyday drinking, yet with enough
character to appeal to wine lovers.</xhtml:p>
<xhtml:p>This white wine pairs particularly well with fish dishes, summer
salads, poultry or a selection of mild cheeses. An easygoing
pleasure that leaves you wanting another sip.</xhtml:p>

<xhtml:div xmlns:xhtml="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml"><xhtml:p>Orange wine can sometimes be quite challenging. This one from
the top-class Heinrich winery shows that there’s another way: open,
juicy, slightly wild, yet so approachable that you don’t need to
read a wine encyclopaedia before taking your first sip.</xhtml:p>
<xhtml:p>In the glass, the wine displays a delicate amber to
salmon-orange hue. On the nose, notes of quince, orange peel, blood
orange, a hint of ginger and subtle herbs emerge. On the palate, it
remains fresh and lively, with juicy fruit, a slight tart note and
precisely that little bit of bite that makes orange wine so
exciting. Not loud, not unwieldy, but invigorating and thoroughly
enjoyable to drink.</xhtml:p>
<xhtml:p>The grapes come from both sides of Lake Neusiedl: from the
Leitha Mountains, with their limestone and slate soils, and from
the Parndorf Plateau, with its gravelly, calcareous soils. The
cuvée, made from Chardonnay, Pinot Blanc, Traminer, Muscat Ottonel
and Pinot Gris, is fermented spontaneously, remains partly on the
skins, matures in amphorae and large wooden barrels, and is bottled
unfiltered.</xhtml:p>
<xhtml:p><xhtml:strong>Naked Orange</xhtml:strong> pairs really well with
oven-roasted vegetables, hummus, falafel, spicy Asian dishes or
even pan-fried fish. A wine for anyone who’s curious but doesn’t
fancy anything too complicated.</xhtml:p>
