Description
Some wines immediately captivate and some slowly grow on you. This Barolo is one of the latter. The soil on which the grapes grow is particularly characterised by the presence of calcareous marl, which gives the wine a noticeable mineral touch. In the glass, it shows a beautiful brick-red colour, so typical of Barolo.
Not loud on the nose, but complex and very typical of Barolo! Some forest floor, mushrooms, red fruits, raspberry, strawberry and then leather. Lots of ethereal notes, plus clear mineral notes. Over time, herbal tones are added, which are beautiful, subtle and complex.
Very cool and elegant on the palate. Stimulating. Literally a mouthful of Barolo - never impetuous, but very prominent. Grainy, ripe tannin, almost accessible, but very impressive. The acidity is firm and stimulating and the wine slips down. Great potential and, without doubt, a fascinating wine.
Extremely exciting, especially because the wine gets better with every sip and will be even more enjoyable in a few years.
