It's remarkable what Birgit Eichinger has achievesd with this entry-level wine. The Grüner Veltliner Strass (Ortswein category) not only enjoys a good rating for the price but also appeals immediately with the very first sip. Perfectly balanced, unobtrusive and yet very harmonious. Dry and classically matured in steel tanks, this Kamptal white wine enjoys widespread popularity.
A typical bouquet of spices with slightly exotic notes on the nose. Fragrant on the palate with a rich lively acidity. Distinctive Veltliner aroma, easy to drink and mid-weight. A great wine at a fair price.
Pairs well with salads and hearty home-cooked fare.
Also a great everyday wine to enjoy on its own.
