Description
This sparkling wine is always a highly anticipated release, as each vintage offers something unique while consistently delivering brilliance.
The grapes for this Champagne come from the esteemed Grand Cru communes of Cramant, Le Mesnil sur Oger, and Oiry. This vintage features the same dosage of 1.5g as its predecessor from 2014, maintaining its signature style.
To fully appreciate this Champagne, it’s essential to use the right large glass, allowing it to express its full character. The perlage is exceptionally fine and silky, while the Champagne shimmers with a golden yellow hue. The maturity of the vintage is evident on the nose, showcasing slightly exotic notes, abundant fruit, and pronounced mineral undertones from the chalky soils.
On the palate, it is powerful yet retains a youthful vibrancy. It definitely benefits from some air to fully open up, revealing fresh and precise flavours of brioche and citrus. Decanting can enhance the experience, bringing out its exquisite flavours more quickly. The wine boasts a delightful fruity sweetness, with a robust finish that lingers on the palate.
This is a top-tier Champagne that is unfortunately quite rare, with only a limited number of bottles available. With other producers, you’d have to dig much deeper into your pockets to find such quality.
