Château Bellegrave Pomerol 2021 Bio, 0,75 L

Château Bellegrave is one of the quiet jewels of Pomerol, a winery that works not with a big stage but with finesse, careful vineyard work and a clear style. The 2021 vintage is a particularly fine example of how elegant and precise Pomerol can be, even in cooler years.

In the glass, the wine shows a dark but not overly intense colour. The nose is shaped by ripe cherries, dark berries and a hint of plum. Fine spicy notes, a touch of violets and an elegant, slightly earthy element typical of the appellation’s soils join in. The Cabernet Franc adds freshness and structure, giving the wine an appealing tension.

On the palate, the 2021 is silky, harmonious and beautifully balanced. The tannins are fine, the acidity clear, the fruit juicy and never heavy. The finish lingers for a long time, carried by dark fruit, a little spice and a subtle mineral note.
