El Pedal is the young, straightforward Rioja from Hermanos Hernáiz – and the Tinto 2024 brings precisely this uncomplicated, fresh character to the glass. The grapes come from various family-owned vineyards in the Iregua Valley and give the wine a modern, fruit-driven character.
This single-varietal Tempranillo is designed entirely with drinkability and freshness in mind. It’s not a heavy Rioja, but a lively red wine that you’ll also enjoy drinking slightly chilled.
On the nose, it reveals red fruit, violet blossoms, a hint of Mediterranean scrubland and delicate spicy notes. On the palate, it is juicy, direct and pleasantly light-footed, with fresh acidity and a clean finish.
