Gerhard Pittnauer Pannobile rot 2023 Bio, 0,75 L

This perfectly balanced, still youthful organic red wine cuvée made from Zweigelt and Blaufränkisch offers aromas of ripe blackberries with delicate notes of nougat. It is juicy on the palate, followed by a long finish with a silky, soft tannin structure. Light and fresh, it has a lively character, with a subtle hint of cardamom spice. The influence of the used 500 litre barrels is gently present, allowing the fruit to take centre stage. The Pannobile red is enjoyable to drink now, though it benefits from decanting or a little aeration in the glass. With ideal storage, it will continue to delight for the next 10 years. It pairs well with dark meat, game, or a relaxed evening with friends.

The name Pannobile reflects both the origin, Pannonia, and the special value of these wines, from noble or nobile. Over 25 years ago, nine winegrowers from Gols joined forces to create a Burgenland brand that clearly signals quality. All Pannobile wines are characterised by maturation in used barriques and the use of predominantly autochthonous, or local, grape varieties.
