The “G” 2022 is once again ranked amongst Austria’s finest red wines! With an incredible 99 AlaCarte and 98 Falstaff points, the 2022 vintage is firmly established as one of Austria’s finest wines.

Only in the very best years is this red wine cuvée – made from 95% Blaufränkisch and 5% St. Laurent – released onto the market. The grapes come from the estate’s oldest vines, which are up to 90 years old! After a good 40 months’ ageing in new barrique barrels, this masterpiece is surely still at the very beginning of its seemingly endless journey.

A deep, dark ruby-garnet colour sparkles in the glass. On the nose, wild berries, liquorice and notes of fine wood. On the palate, full-bodied, dense and youthful. Black cherries, cassis and delicate spice characterise the flavour profile. The finish is mineral and salty, with tremendous length.

A red wine with exceptional ageing potential, perfect for contemplation or for broadening one’s horizons. In any case, a truly spectacular red wine experience – the sort of which, unfortunately, there are far too few.
