This new, elegant red wine cuvée, crafted from Blaufränkisch, Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc, has been matured for 12 months in 300-litre barrique barrels. The grapes are sourced from the finest vineyards in Rust on Lake Neusiedl.

From the warm yet youthful 2023 vintage, this is clearly a wine of reserve quality. In the glass, it shows a deep purple core with a violet rim and notable legs. On the nose, ripe cassis intertwines with aromas of dark cherries, supported by a cool backbone of blackberry, fresh thyme and cedarwood, with nuances of blackcurrant cake and subtle roasted notes.

On the palate, it is dry and finely structured, opening with elegant fruit tones of stewed cherries, followed by firm tannins, hints of liquorice, dried plums and a touch of wafer biscuit. Despite its power, it remains juicy and approachable, finishing with a pleasant length that makes it a versatile food companion.

Perfect with spicy, dark meats, this wine offers remarkable value for money, with an ageing potential of at least 10 years. A true price-performance gem—there is scarcely more wine for the money.
