It is no longer a secret that Zweigelt, an Austrian red grape variety thrives in Rust in the Neusiedlersee region. With this wine, Günter Triebaumer walks a fine balancing line between a special occasion wine and everyday drinkability.
Fermented in stainless steel tanks and matured in large wooden barrels, the spicy, fruity flavours are clearly in the foreground here. Dark cherries, some white pepper and violets. Dry, with intense fruit and a juicy, charming finish. A smooth drinking flow ensures a party vibe on the palate. But it also pairs well with many everyday dishes and will find many fans!
