The original Wiener Gemischter Satz has been making waves for years—thanks above all to Fritz Wieninger, one of Vienna’s top wineries. Working according to biodynamic principles, Wieninger demonstrates both skill and sensitivity in this iconic wine style.

This dry white wine comes from the Bisamberg district and is one of the best-known examples of the Gemischter Satz. The vineyard, planted over 40 years ago, comprises 40% Pinot Blanc, 40% Pinot Gris, and 20% Chardonnay, all of which are harvested, pressed, and vinified together by hand. This traditional field blend is precisely what makes the Wiener Gemischter Satz so distinctive.

The nose reveals an aromatic bouquet with subtle smoky notes, complemented by grapefruit and stone fruit. On the palate, it is dry, full-bodied, and elegant, with lively, refreshing acidity. Harmonious and already very approachable, it lingers with a medium-length finish—pleasing from the very first sip.
