Here, Johann Donabaum shows just how thrilling Smaragd can be. True to his patient philosophy, the wine is left to mature on fine lees in stainless steel tanks for around 10 months before bottling.

On the nose, it offers delicate spice, ripe yellow pear, and a whisper of tobacco. The palate is firm and concentrated, yet never heavy — on the contrary: a vibrant flow meets creamy texture, with hints of mango and subtle extract sweetness adding depth and balance. The finish is long, mineral, and lifted by a fresh citrus note.
