Leo Hillinger’s renowned Small Hill Red is a versatile red wine cuvée that has been delighting wine lovers for years — a perfect introduction to the world of Hillinger wines.
This elegant blend combines approximately 50% Merlot, 25% Pinot Noir, and 25% St. Laurent, matured in steel tanks and used barrique barrels. The result is a beautifully balanced wine that harmonises fruit, spice, and softness.
On the nose and palate, it reveals aromas of ripe cherries and blackberries, complemented by subtle notes of chocolate. A gentle spiciness lends freshness, while a touch of delicate fruit sweetness adds smoothness and charm. The overall impression is rounded, present, and pleasantly restrained.
