Description

A standout bestseller from the "Winemaker of the Year" and rising star, this Grüner Veltliner has earned high praise year after year from both Falstaff and James Suckling. It has quickly become a cornerstone of the Austrian white wine scene.

The "Obere Steigen" vineyard, with its sandy-loamy topsoil and limestone conglomerate subsoil, imparts a distinct minerality to the wine, enhanced by the vines’ impressive age of 25 to 50 years. Only the best Grüner Veltliner grapes are selected for bottling. The 2024 vintage presents a youthful medium yellow-green colour, while the nose reveals the classic Veltliner profile of white pepper and crisp apple. On the palate, it’s wonderfully juicy and fresh, with a vibrant balance of fruit and acidity. The minerality of the limestone soil shines through, and the long, satisfying finish culminates in elegant pear notes.

This wine is a versatile and sophisticated food companion, making it the perfect all-rounder for any occasion.
