Description

The "Solaris" grape variety, first bred in 1975, is a fungus-resistant white grape gaining popularity due to its minimal need for natural sprays. While only a few hectares have been cultivated in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland, it is now enjoying a resurgence of interest.

David Warlits' young organic winery in central Burgenland embraced this trend early, planting Solaris vines to create a standout white wine. Fermented traditionally in stainless steel tanks, this wine delivers exceptional value with its vibrant, juicy character. Dry and crisp yet bursting with fruity aromas, it evokes notes of Muscat and Riesling, featuring ripe apricots, citrus, elderflower, and a hint of exotic lychee on the finish. Its clean, lingering aftertaste makes it incredibly drinkable.

This rare and delightful white wine is sure to win over many fans, whether enjoyed on its own or paired with Asian cuisine and fish dishes.
