Podere Paradisino Vino Nobile di Montepulciano Riserva 2021 DOCG, 0,75 L

Alongside Brunello, Chianti Classico, and Morellino, Vino Nobile di Montepulciano is one of the four great Sangiovese origins of Tuscany. These wines are often overshadowed by the famous Brunello, but lovers of a more elegant expression of the grape variety often find some of the most exciting examples here, often with a very convincing price-to-pleasure ratio.

As prescribed, the wine is made from 100% Sangiovese and matured for a long time in large Slavonian oak barrels. In the glass, it shows a dark Bordeaux red colour with medium density and a slight lightening at the rim. The aroma is typical of the grape variety with wild berries, some cherry fruit, fine herbal notes and a subtle floral component.

The wine is cool and structured on the palate. Firm but ripe tannins provide tension while a finely structured acidity gives the wine depth and elegance. With air, the Riserva opens more and more, becoming spicier and more complex and showing a clear and precise style. The balance between pressure and finesse is particularly successful.

A representative of its region, full of character, which is stylistically positioned between Chianti Classico and Brunello. Excellent with stews, red meat or savoury pasta dishes.
