Description
One of our favourite discoveries from the south of Italy: the Eughenes Syrah Nero d'Avola impressively demonstrates what Sicily is capable of when it comes to red wine. Young, juicy and a true pleasure to drink.
It shines in the glass with light violet reflections - a sign of its youth. On the nose, red berries meet fine vanilla and a hint of spice. The palate remains exciting: good freshness, ripe tannins and a perfectly balanced use of wood. Not a heavy blockbuster, but a Mediterranean charmer with structure.
This cuvée of Nero d'Avola and Syrah is perfect for the BBQ season, but is just as good with pizza, pasta or an evening with friends.
