Ernst Triebaumer Blaufränkisch Gemärk 2022, 0,75 L

The Triebaumers have a special knack for Blaufränkisch. This can be clearly tasted in this red wine from the Gemärk vineyard in Rust. Unconventionally matured in used wooden barrels, spontaneously fermented, unfiltered and as traditional as the winery itself. This is Blaufränkisch at its purest.

The wine is just at the beginning ot its drinking maturity. When we tasted it in the cellar, we were impressed by its characteristic sour cherry aroma and easy flow. It glides smoothly over the palate with a slightly toasty flavour and ethereal spiciness. Elegant without being flashy and invites you to take the nest sip. Can be aged for up to 10 years.

Pairs well with beef and duck, and also autumnal dishes such as stewed pumpkin and grilled vegetables. enjoyable but absolutely perfect if you're looking for a classy, honest wine typical of this varietal.
