Allegrini Lugana Oasi Mantellina D.O.C. 2025, 0,75 l

Lugana is one of Italy’s most exciting white wines – and with the Oasi Mantellina, Allegrini demonstrates just how much finesse the Turbiana grape variety possesses. The grapes come from the vineyard of the same name, situated south of Lake Garda on south-west-facing loamy soils.

After being hand-harvested in September, the grapes are gently pressed and fermented in steel tanks at a cool 14 to 15 degrees. Four months on the fine lees give the wine its structure, before it is left to rest for a further two months in the bottle.

In the glass, it shimmers a golden yellow; on the nose, you’ll find jasmine, white peach and a hint of bergamot. On the palate, it is fresh and juicy, with great length and a finish that once again reveals citrus and ripe fruit.

A wine for the terrace and for good food: perfect with sushi and sashimi, but also with pasta with clams, pan-fried fish or couscous with vegetables and spices.
