Fritz Wieninger is counted among Austria’s very best winegrowers, and for good reason. The grapes come from 25–40-year-old vines in the Bisamberg vineyard, harvested with meticulous care by hand. After 15 months of barrique ageing—some in new barrels—followed by further bottle maturation, the wine begins to unfold its impressive depth and potential.

On the nose, light roasted aromas mingle with notes of apricot. On the palate, it is complex and dense, with delicate caramel notes meeting exotic fruit flavours. The fine acidity provides freshness and elegance, ensuring drinking pleasure. Already very approachable, yet with remarkable ageing potential, this Chardonnay shows balance and precision in every aspect.
