Description
Malbec is Argentina’s signature red grape variety, and Patagonia is one of its most exciting up-and-coming regions. The “Chacra La Papay” range represents the winery’s youthful yet high-quality entry-level line, focusing strongly on the grape and its regional character.
The vineyards lie in the far south of Argentina, around 39° south latitude. Here, the continental climate with wide temperature swings, dry air, constant winds, and well-drained soils allows the grapes to ripen slowly and develop rich aromas. Harvested by hand, the grapes are gently pressed and matured for nine months in used French and American oak barrels.
The result is the Chacra La Papay Malbec 2024: fresh and fruity, with notes of ripe red berries, floral hints, and a touch of vanilla. On the palate, it shows gentle tannins, well-integrated freshness, and an easy-drinking style—uncomplicated, approachable, and highly enjoyable.
A versatile food companion, pairing beautifully with beef, pasta dishes, or flavourful cheeses.
