Château Ducru-Beaucaillou

Icon of the Médoc - pure elegance from Saint-Julien

Few names are as synonymous with elegance, consistency and great Bordeaux style as Château Ducru-Beaucaillou. The vineyard is located in the heart of the Saint-Julien appellation, directly on the banks of the Gironde, and has been recognised as one of the very great 2ème Grands Crus Classés since its classification in 1855.

The name "Beaucaillou" - which translates as "beautiful pebbles" - is a tribute to the exceptional terroir: deep, gravel-rich soils that store heat, drain water and thus create perfect conditions for Cabernet Sauvignon. This is complemented by some Merlot, which gives the wines fullness and elegance.

In the cellar, the focus is on uncompromising selection, precision and long maturation periods in French oak. The result is wines with unrivalled structure, depth and an almost floating balance between power and finesse. They are among the longest-lived wines in the Médoc, filled with character.

Château Ducru-Beaucaillou is not a loud wine, but one that grows with every minute in the glass - a piece of Bordeaux history that you can taste.
