Tenuta San Giorgio

Sometimes a new story begins exactly where the old one culminated. This is the case with the Cordero family, the former owners of the legendary Vietti Barolo winery, who are now opening a new chapter with Cordero San Giorgio. In Oltrepò Pavese - south of Milan - the siblings Francesco, Lorenzo and Caterina have found their new passion.

Here, on around 22 hectares between rolling hills, they produce fresh, clear wines with a strong character that show just how much potential this region has. Pinot Nero, Chardonnay, Pinot Grigio and Croatina take centre stage - all with a sense of sustainability and terroir. The company has been working organically since 2019 with the aim of creating wines that are honest, lively and enjoyable to drink.

Particularly exciting is the fact that the family has not completely given up on Piedmont. In addition to the new project in Oltrepò Pavese, Nebbiolo wines are currently being reproduced - a bridge between tradition and new beginnings, the past and the future.
