Description
The Erste Lage "Ried Jägerberg" vineyard in southern Styria characterises this complex yet accessible Graubrugunder (Pinot Gris/grigio). Matured for 12 months in large oak barrels, the wine matures slowly, with an ageing potential of 10 years and more.
The aroma of acacia honey and delicately roasted almonds whets the appetite for the first sip. Mineral and elegant on the palate without being overpowering. Light-coloured stone fruit, light herbs and a subtle extract sweetness form a beautiful symbiosis through to the long, somewhat salty finish.
A good and lively food companion, especially with game birds, lamb, roast beef or hard cheese.
