Krispel Chardonnay Straden 2024 Organic, 0,75 L

The Chardonnay Straden is a medium-bodied example of the local wine category. The grapes used come exclusively from the village of Straden in the Vulkanland region of south-eastern Styria. This white wine is just as lovely and well-balanced as the landscape there.

Thanks to the selective hand-harvesting of fully ripe grapes and ageing in large wooden barrels, this wine makes quite an impression on the palate. Dry, with a lovely fruity richness, the wine offers aromas of citrus and fresh meadow herbs. Very full-bodied on the palate, with lovely, lively acidity. Exotic fruits such as mango and melon, paired with subtle vanilla, give way to a slightly salty, long finish.

A superb all-rounder in the upmarket category at a comparatively modest price. Pairs excellently with poultry, pasta with hearty sauces, and white meat on the barbecue.
