Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Gris, of course, and the wines made from basalt-soil vines are among the highlights of this winery, which is committed to organic viticulture and hand-harvesting. Across some 70 hectares, the estate produces regional wines that are a real delight, as well as distinctive single-vineyard and local wines that are sure to have you raving about them. The family-run business, led by winemaker and visionary Stefan Krispel, is also regarded as a technological pioneer in Styria. He is also known for his certified organic Wollschwein pig breeding. The ‘Genusstheater’ restaurant at the winery, complete with guest rooms, is among the best in the region.
