Description
A Rubin Carnuntum is always a Zweigelt from the Carnuntum wine region, matured in used wooden barrels. This excellent example clearly demonstrates how impressive Zweigelt can be.
The nose is attractively spicy, with lively red fruit aromas of cherries and subtle smoky notes. On the palate, the wine is notably powerful. Bright red berry flavours come through, supported by fine tannins and a gentle hint of oak. It shows medium complexity, a well-balanced, harmonious finish, and light chocolate notes. It is immediately appealing and well-suited to any table.
It pairs well with dishes such as lasagne, pizza, game, and more.
