Description
Roter Veltliner is a white wine that went largely unrecognised for many years but has recently developed into a fashionable niche product with cult potential. Awarded GOLD and 92 Falstaff points.
This Roter Veltliner Hohenwart was previously known as Roter Veltliner Ried Hochstrass and, since this vintage, has been classified as a local wine, while remaining essentially the same excellent wine as before. Fresh and layered on the palate, it immediately lifts the mood. Dry, with notes of ripe yellow pear and exotic fruits. A subtle almond note highlights its charming character. Complex and juicy. This grape variety is unfortunately very rare in Austria, yet it greatly enriches the country’s wine portfolio. Like Austro Pop, it is made to tell stories.
An excellent accompaniment to a wide range of dishes, particularly poultry, and also a good choice with vegetables.
