Description

The vines for this wine were planted on the Goldberg vineyard in Deutschkreutz by the Heinrich family back in 1947. The heavy, sandy loam soils and the warm, Pannonian climate provide the ideal conditions for the centuries-old Blaufränkisch grape varietal.

The grapes were selectively harvested by hand, sorted and then fermented spontaneously. After 22 months in new barrique barrels, the still-young red wine already exhibits its greatness in its youth. Intense aromas of dark wild berries with a subtle hint of wood and smoke. The first impression on the palate is warm and complex. Juicy, round, well-polished tannins with a hint of tobacco on the finish. Blackberries in the long finish. It demonstrates the exquisite skill of the winemaker.

Decant or open 1-2 hours before drinking when young. Pairs well with game dishes and lamb. Also great as a meditation wine.
