Description
A Grauburgunder of this quality at this price from southern Styria is a rare find indeed! From the very first sip, it inspires enthusiasm, with the unmistakable signature of top winemaker Reinhard Muster shining through.
Matured primarily in steel tanks, with a small portion in wooden barrels to add creaminess and fullness, the wine opens dry, with a delicate melt and ripe fruit expression. Notes of yellow pear, exotic fruit, and light almond unfold, supported by subtle extract sweetness. On the palate, it is expressive, full-bodied, and precise, with mild, digestible acidity that still delivers delicate freshness. Well-balanced, with a fine tang that lingers.
A charming transitional wine between summer and winter, and an excellent companion for a wide range of rustic dishes.
