If you are looking for stereotypes, you will not get far with a wine like this Reserve Chardonnay. It is, of course, a classic Chardonnay, naturally aged in wood, yet it shows an elegant and balanced character that quickly quiets critics of old-fashioned Napa Chardonnays.

A wonderful aroma of exotic fruits unfolds in the glass, paired with beautifully integrated wood notes, a touch of vanilla, plenty of orange peel and delicate floral hints. On the palate, it surprises with a super juicy and powerful white wine supported by a cool minerality. It cannot completely hide its origins, nor does it try to. The long finish is delicately buttery with a subtle hint of Napa Valley.

It is undoubtedly a great Chardonnay that truly deserves the Reserve label and will certainly continue to offer plenty of pleasure for many years to come.
