Rutherford Ranch Torcia Red Napa Valley 2019, 0,75 L

Our visit to Rutherford in Napa Valley ended with this monumental red wine. From the very first glass, it was clear that we were tasting a wine that reflects the essence of the entire region. What impresses us is the combination of raw power and elegance, a balance that only a few regions in the world can achieve so perfectly. Once you engage with it, you quickly realise that Napa Valley is one of the very few places capable of producing wines like this.

The Torcia Red is deep and dark, with an intense aroma of cassis, dark plum and spicy notes. There are also fine tobacco hints and a touch of refined roasted aromas from the long ageing in French and American oak. The palate is powerful, dense and yet supple, with tannins that are present but elegant, and a finish that is long, clear and persistent.

It pairs beautifully with hearty dishes, grilled meat or simply when you want to treat yourself to a glass that expresses true Napa character. This is a wine that deserves time, air and attention and rewards you generously in return.
