Description
The new red wine cuvée Josanna from this leading winery has been awarded 93+ AlaCarte points and succeeds the previous Grande Cuvée. It reflects the character of the region on the eastern shore of Lake Neusiedl and is made from Zweigelt, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and a small proportion of Blaufränkisch. After 12 months in small oak barrels, it shows impressive fullness and elegance.
On the nose, it reveals intense black cherry fruit, cassis, blueberries, chocolate and cocoa, complemented by a subtle roasted note. The palate offers excellent concentration of berry fruit with a balanced texture. It is full-bodied, round and juicy, with plum and herbal spice, supple tannins, and hints of espresso and vanilla. Juicy ripe wild cherry, blackcurrant and mineral notes are supported by touches of nougat and fine wood spice on the finish, alongside delicate extract sweetness and a smooth tannin structure.
It can be enjoyed on its own at any gathering or paired with dishes such as burgers or beef. The Josanna is a reliable choice for many occasions.
