Description
The Zweigelt Reserve is the flagship wine and a true trademark of Seewinkelhof Salzl. After the first sip, it becomes immediately clear why.
Aged for 12 months in used barriques, it delivers a very harmonious and generous mouthful of wine that is sure to appeal to every wine lover.
Its dark ruby red colour sparkles in the glass. The nose is wonderfully delicate and fruit-driven, with notes of ripe cherries and blueberries complemented by a subtle hint of roasted aromas. On the palate, a beautifully creamy fullness creates impressive intensity. It shows pure fruit character, rich flavour, finely balanced acidity and a touch of salty minerality. Juicy, ripe cherry fruit is joined by a gentle chocolate nuance. The smooth, inviting drinking flow leads into a long finish with delicate roasted notes.
A wonderful and typical Zweigelt that offers tremendous drinking pleasure and can be cellared until around 2032.
