Description
One of the great Austrian sparkling wines in the reserve category from the top winery in Western Styria.
100% Chardonnay grapes from steep slopes were harvested by hand in small crates, and the base wine fermented in 500-litre oak barrels. After malolactic fermentation, the still wine was bottled for a second fermentation and disgorged after 38 months on the lees.
A sparkling wine that immediately impressed us with its elegance and complexity when we tasted it.
Apple-like freshness swirls from the glass, accompanied by hints of tropical fruit, brioche and walnut. The presentation on the palate is almost graceful. With the finest and beautifully integrated perlage. The contrast of yeasty moments and a salty flavour provides the right amount of tension and drinking appeal. Lingers very long on the finish and puts a smile on your face.
Ideal for the big celebrations in life, as an accompaniment to a Christmas snack or a revelation with fish and seafood.
