Description

The "Ein wildes Gläschen" wine series epitomises natural wines with minimal intervention from Zahel's cherished vineyards. This exquisite Grüner Veltliner originates from old vines in the Goldberg vineyard, nestled in Vienna's Oberlaa district.

Hand-picked and spontaneously fermented, this wine is unfiltered, unfined, and bottled with minimal sulphur. It matures for 6 months in used barrique barrels and stainless steel tanks.

In the glass, it gleams with a light, delicately cloudy straw-like yellow hue. Its aroma is quintessential, with notes of pepper and peach dancing on the nose. On the palate, it charms with its dryness, elegant acidity, and invigorating fruitiness. Hints of orange peel, exotic fruits, and meadow herbs tantalise the taste buds. The long, slightly mineral finish captivates, leaving a lingering impression that skillfully demands attention.

This Grüner Veltliner pairs harmoniously with starters, vegetables, or refined Viennese cuisine.
