Description
The "Sideways" line from young winemaker Berni Ernst from Deutschkreutz is an interpretation of the natural style of wines. Limited, unfiltered, unadorned and reduced sulphur.
The Pinot Noir is a diva among red wines that needs its time. This wine has been allowed this time and the beautiful 2017 vintage is now at perfect drinking maturity. Dark berries and chocolate come to mind. The new barrique barrels are well integrated and reveal themselves in elegant roasted flavours. It has a well-formed, round body and despite the 14.0% alcohol by volume content, feels light, lean and fresh on the palate. The lively acidity provides fun in the glass and lingers for a long time.
A wine for meditation that is open to new things and very exciting to discover.
