Cantina Girlan Flora Sauvignon Blanc 2023, 0,75 L

This wine perfectly illustrates why Sauvignon Blanc is so highly prized in South Tyrol. On the nose, intense aromas of citrus fruit and elderflower immediately convey freshness and vibrancy. The palate is juicy, precise, and mineral, with a crisp acidity that lends structure and elegance.

The grapes are sourced from selected vineyards in Girlan, Montiggl, and on the Eppan mountain at around 500 metres altitude. The combination of clay, limestone, and gravel soils gives the wine its distinctive character. Hand-harvested grapes undergo a short maceration and gentle whole-cluster pressing. The wine then matures for eight months on fine lees—partly in stainless steel and partly in large wooden barrels—without malolactic fermentation, ensuring complexity while preserving its fresh, lively character.

A versatile companion at the table, it pairs beautifully with fish, seafood, and asparagus, and is equally impressive alongside white meat or refined vegetable dishes.
