One of the best, if not the best, Chardonnay in Austria! Year after year, the GLORIA ranks amongst the country’s very best and is highly praised by both national and international critics. This exceptional white wine was named ‘Wine of the Year’ by international wine critic James Suckling, scoring 99 points and thus being recognised as the country’s finest wine!

The south-east-facing Gloria vineyard was first mentioned in documents as early as 1570 and is surrounded by the forests of the Leitha Mountains. It is perfectly suited to Chardonnay vines, which grow on very calcareous brown earth. Matured in small French oak barrels, the wine is certainly still very young, yet already very drinkable.

Every sip is intense and incredibly complex. As in Burgundy, the grape variety takes a back seat here, allowing the terroir of this vineyard to shine through. Yeast, brioche, delicate, subtle oak with ripe yellow fruits. Pure minerality! Finely structured and balanced right through to the endlessly long finish. A real treat for the palate! Enormous ageing potential of 20 years and more.
