Description
Anyone who loves Amarone will instantly fall in love with this bottle from the family-run winery. Powerful, dark and concentrated – just as a modern Amarone should be!
The grapes (Corvina and Rondinella) from the Valpolicella Classico region are dried in crates for around 4 months. They are then pressed and left on the skins for a good 25 days. The wine is then allowed to mature in barrique barrels for around 40 months, ready to delight wine lovers.
Its extremely elegant body, with good volume, tantalises the senses. Without being overwhelming, and not too sweet. At just 4.5g of residual sugar, it’s actually quite low for this class of wine. Dried fruit, cinnamon and a hint of vanilla meet dried flowers with a sweet spiciness. Supple and elegant, with a lovely, lively structure. The endlessly long finish leaves you with a broad grin.
One of our absolute discoveries of this year, with huge ageing potential. A lovely winter wine, perfect with duck or spicy meat dishes.
