Description
Salzl's Pannoterra red blend brings Neusiedlersee sun into the bottle. First, they select fully ripe and healthy Zweigelt, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes. These are then aged in 100% new barriques. The result is beguiling and more in the style of international wines. However, it never denies its homeland.
It has a wonderful nose of dark berries, with cocoa powder, roasted aromas and ripe cherries. A powerful, dark-fruity body bursts onto the palate with ripe sour cherries, plums, cranberries and delicate herbs with a little eucalyptus. Delicate sweetness results from the use of fresh wood. The wood has polished the tannins to a velvety finish. Juicy acidity with slightly earthy notes slides into an elegant and long-lasting finish. A fantastic wine with huge potential and 100% a pleasure to drink!
Pairs wonderfully with intense beef and game. Or drink on its own on colder days to warm the soul.
