Schloss Gobelsburg Pinot Noir Reserve 2021, 0,75 L

Pinot Noir feels particularly at home in cooler regions. The reserve from the outstanding 2021 vintage was aged for 18 months in 600-litre oak barrels and still has excellent development potential. The high limestone content of the soil gives this elegant wine its mineral, Burgundian style.

Medium ruby red in colour, slightly transparent at the rim, typical of Pinot Noir. Fresh red fruits such as cherries, raspberries and some strawberry on the nose, with fine spicy notes and a hint of wood. Dry on the palate and very balanced. The fruit is clear but not overly strong or sweet, with cherries and berries again. There are also light roasted flavours from the wood, supported by fresh, lively acidity. A pleasant mouthfeel that never feels heavy and lingers for a long time.

Perfect with game dishes, mild cheeses, or simply on its own for a cosy evening.
