Description
The soils of Vienna’s famous Nussberg are rich in calcareous shell limestone with deeper limestone layers—a terroir that unmistakably shapes this seductive Grüner Veltliner, cultivated according to biodynamic principles.
Vinification is classic and careful: matured in steel tanks with a portion in large wooden barrels, and aged on the fine lees to highlight the wine’s aromatic character. The nose is fragrant with herbal spice and crisp apple, while the palate plays a lively Viennese concert of apricot, honey, and herbs. Extra dry, with just 1 g of residual sugar, it is surprisingly light-footed, animating, and full of charm. Applause, applause...
