Through his knowledge and years of experience, Allegrini has been able to develop an Amarone style that preserves and emphasises the fruitiness. The grapes are traditionally air-dried for 3-4 months, during which they lose around 40% of their original weight. The grapes are then crushed and made into wine. It is clear that the aromas of dried and candied fruit can be found here. Added to this is the long ageing period in large wooden barrels, which adds complexity and further flavours typical of Amarone.

A wine that hardly needs any further description. This Amarone is a benchmark with its very own, unmistakable character. Amarone is an incredibly complex and beguiling wine that awakens new flavours with every sniff. The palate is incredibly dense, then soft, aromatic, round, supple and flattering. With concentrated flavours of dark berries and dried, candied fruit. A hint of spice constantly resonates, making it even more complex.

This wine is ideal for game dishes, grilled meat and braised dishes. It is also ideal for cheeses with a long ageing period. Best served at 18 °C and remove the cork two hours before serving or pour directly into a carafe.
