Ecker - Eckhof Roter Veltliner Ried Steinberg DAC 2025 Organic, 0,75 L

Bernhard Ecker is THE specialist in Roter Veltliner and produces it in three different styles. This medium-bodied wine from the top vineyard site of Steinberg is a prime example and clearly demonstrates just how incredibly beautifully this unique variety can develop. Although it is still young, it already displays its full potential and impresses with its rich aroma.

Matured dry, partly in stainless steel tanks and partly in large acacia wood barrels. When you bring it close to your nose, notes of ripe greengage and blossom honey leap out. On the palate, it is juicy, mineral, slightly salty, fresh and very well-balanced. The finish is long-lasting with a subtle fruit sweetness. Highly praised by the specialist press and almost consistently awarded 93 points by AlaCarte and Falstaff. Although it will certainly continue to develop over the next few years and has a ageing potential of a good 10 years, everything about this wine is already just right.
