Gerhard Pittnauer is a master of the St. Laurent grape varietal. This Austrian-grown, Burgundian red grape is one of the most sensitive and places high demands on the winemaker. Making great wine from it requires talent, passion and understanding.

A balanced, warm 2019 growing season suited St. Laurent particularly well. The subtle herbal spice harmonises perfectly with the cool tone and juicy figs. A great representative of this varietal from the Parndorfer Plain. Juicy, elegant and with slightly nutty notes on the finish, without being overwhelming.

Goes wonderfully with spicy dishes and as a red accompaniment to snacks. Also great instead of white wine with grilled fish. TIP: Better to drink a little cooler than too warm!
